Job Responsibilities

Responsible for supporting the CBO(s) in: execution of all administrative duties associated with CBO position (refer to attached position description for CBO); assistance with selling and cross-selling of MB Products; and adherence to MB Loan Policy guidelines and Credit Administration procedures.

  • Support CBO in daily activities.  Request and review loan documentation.  Request information from customers in support of loan processing, loan maintenance, periodic financial review, and file administration (including minimization of and clearing of documentation exceptions).  Review and provide system generated reports to CBO for portfolio management.  Schedule and conduct loan closings and coordinate all documentation (e.g. title work, flood insurance, recording, etc.).
  • Actively support CBO customer relationships in assigned market area.  Provide primary customer service in representing CBO and MB.  Assist CBO in development of relationship via product support, cross-selling and installation of commercial services, and troubleshooting on operational or credit administration issues affecting relationships.  Assist CBO with daily overdraft administration.
  • Collect, review, and record receipt of corporate and personal financial statements, projections, and covenants, as needed, for existing loans and prospective new customers.  Assist in financial covenant tracking for existing customers.  Have data in format to facilitate preliminary credit analysis by CBO (including financial spread), either complete LAR or forward to Credit Administration.  When necessary, track loan process through completion of LAR by Credit Administration for CBO.  Provide LAR to CBO in timely manner for decision making.
  •  Provide customer support for electronic product delivery systems – to include, on-line commercial banking products , ELynx, PhoneLynx.  Assure timely and successful installations of new customer systems.
  • Perform Cash Management Services analysis, new account setups, and ongoing maintenance in conjunction with Customer Accounting personnel.
  • Cross train in all duties and functions within the department.
  • Perform any and all duties as assigned from time to time.

Qualifications

  • Professional credentials include: four year bachelors degree or demonstrated equivalent  in relevant work experience: two years of professional experience and strong performance in financial management, financial analysis, marketing management, customer service, commercial banking, or other relevant field.
  • Strong organizational skills.  Ability to manage multiple projects with conflicting deadlines and accurately work under time pressure.
  • Understanding of commercial lending concepts and practice.  Fundamentals provided by Bank with employee expected to develop under tutelage of CBO team.
  • Ability to comprehend and practice sound banking procedures and operations in a  regulated environment.  Effectiveness in blending as assertive sales culture with financial safety and soundness in accordance with MB loan policy and general policy  guidelines.  Cross-train in all aspects of commercial sales, including products and services.
  • Aptitude and demonstrated proficiency in use of computer technology.  Competency in all bank branch hardware and software platforms.  Willingness to personally master use of electronic products and services bank offers in the marketplace, including access to home banking and Internet sites.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, to be used in communicating with a broad range of constituents.  Demonstrated leadership background or potential.
  • Analytical and written skills to produce clear, concise planning, correspondence, reporting, and problem solving.
