Job Responsibilities
Responsible for originating and processing all forms of consumer and small business loans.  Also primary support in assisting Branch President in overall management of branch office, receiving and responding to inquiries and problems, and overall customer support on any type of bank question or problem.  Responds to all cross-selling opportunities of all services/products and actively promotes marketing campaigns.  Capable of substituting for Branch President on a short-term basis.

  • Using lending authority granted by Credit Division, originates the Bank’s loan product line, including:  consumer installment loans; home equity lines of credit and second mortgages; mortgages; and small business loans.  Seeks to assure credit quality and thoroughness with all loan documentation.
  • Seeks to provide superior customer satisfaction to all customers. Aim toward business retention and cross-selling of existing customers (share of wallet), by making recommendations for new and modified products/services to meet the customer’s individual banking needs. Maintain thorough knowledge of all products and services available to both commercial and retail customers.
  • Identify opportunity for new relationships and support growth of branch via new account acquisition. Target individuals, businesses and organizations for potential sales follow through. Execute systematic program of market development via proactive outreach, with help from marketing partners. 
  • Ability to open all types of accounts, both deposit and loan. Demonstrates the efficiency and sound practices of teller transactions and accounting; ATM balancing; proof of vault; security procedures; regulatory compliance; technology execution; account maintenance; and customer service. Acts under direction of Branch President as resource person for the Personal Banker staff. Provides prompt quality service to customers and bank personnel. On a rotating basis, service the branch ATM after hours.
  • Engage in regular communications to constituents (customers, co-workers, management) in support of branch and company direction.  Cooperate with all reporting requirements with clear, concise written, verbal and electronic communications.
  • Cross train in all duties and functions within the department.
  • Perform any and all duties as assigned from time to time.

Qualifications

    1. Proven lender with experience in consumer and home lending.
    2. Candidate will have achieved lending authority and served in a lending role for a minimum of two years.
    3. Ability to demonstrate proficiency in credit origination, production, and quality will be at a premium. This assignment will also involve participation in all branch operations, sales, customer service and community outreach programs.
