Our Trustee services are called upon to provide protection for you and your family in the event of disability or death. As a corporate trustee we are an impartial third party–not influenced by family disagreements and prior history. This enables us to best accomplish the objectives of a trust as stated in the trust agreement, avoiding potential family conflicts. Our staff of highly qualified trust officers carries out our fiduciary responsibilities to assure reliable trust administration.

Merchants Trust serves as trustee or co-trustee for several different types of revocable and irrevocable trusts.

Services include establishing and implementing appropriate investment strategies, providing custody of trust assets, providing detailed reporting to all beneficiaries and co-trustees, and preparing trust tax returns.
