Trustee, or fiduciary, services are an integral part of Merchants Trust. Our staff of highly qualified trust officers carries out our fiduciary responsibilities to assure reliable trust administration. As a corporate trustee we are an impartial third party and are not influenced by family disagreements and past history. This enables us to best accomplish the objectives of a trust as stated in the trust agreement, avoiding potential family conflicts.
- Merchants Trust serves as trustee or co-trustee for several different types of revocable and irrevocable trusts
- Services include establishing and implementing appropriate investment strategies, providing custody of trust assets, providing detailed reporting to all beneficiaries and co-trustees, and preparing trust tax returns.
