What credit score do you need to get an American Express?

Every customer should have positive credit score. The rate of credit score epends on the card you are going to issue. For example, if you need American Express Platinum Card, you should have credit score over 700. The average indicator is 715. But there are cases when a person with 643 credit score was approved for Platinum American Express.

Is it easy to get an American Express card?

It is not easy to get an American Express card. The reason for this is the strict requirement for a good or excellent credit to approve all Amex credit card offers. Some premium Amex cards for large sponsors have not only high fees but also strict requirements for qualifying for it. As a result, all the details of how much you rating should be and what fees you will have should be clarified contacting customer care support.

American Express vs VISA

America Express and Visa are two of major credit/debit cards used by people all over the world. The main difference between Visa and AmEX is the issuer behind the brand. Visa is not a bank itself, it is a payment service. Any bank may issue VISA card. American Express is a banking institution itself. It is an issuer and a payment system in one notion.

It means that the difference American Express vs Visa is great. Every bank sets its rates and terms. That’s why, before issuing a card, get acquainted with its details.

Is American Express a good credit card?

American Express is a good credit card for one person and bad for another. This is a rhetorical question. To anwer this question, every person should analyze what terms and rates are offered, to compare it with other banks. Finally, you’ll get the answer to the question whether American Express is a good card or not.

CDs at American Express Bank

CDs terms are from 6 months to 5 years – for a locked-in rate. The longer your term, the more you can earn.
Advantages are:

  • No minimums, no monthly fees;
  • 24/7 superior customer service;
  • FDIC insured;
  • Backed by the service & reliability of American Express.

CDs get a one-time deposit. If you’re fond of opening monthly deposits, a High Yield Savings Account (HYSA) is probably a better choice for you. With a CD, you can withdraw before your terms are over (the maturity date), but that withdrawal will be subject to penalties.

Is there a mobile app?

American Express has a mobile app available for free downloading through PlayMarket and iStore. If you want to be in touch with every option, you are welcome to downloan this app.

Conclusion: Great Banking Institution with Many Services

American Express offers many services either online or offline. They provide many credit cards, business cards, corporate programs, gift cards, etc. Every client may address this banking institution. The only problem may arise if you have a low credit score. In other cases, you won’t have problems with cooperation with this bank.

If there was a way to ensure negative stars the would be set for AMEX. A fraudulent and unethical bank that does not function under Australian financial guidelines and treats Australian customers with no respect or integrity. Keep away for your own financial safety and sanity. I won’t address this company anymore and cancel my credit card issued by this company long time ago

I am very disappointed with the Amex service. Amex withdraw my Credit Card account today because my balance is zero and I haven’t used the card in the last 12 months. Surely, with the Coronavirus pandemic and the financial effect on many, this is a good thing? Well, I have now closed my charge card account as well!

American Express is not accepted anywhere else in the world except for in USA. So instead of being polite to their clients in USA they keep withdrawing account and decreasing credit limit. American Express management is not great. I won’t be your customer anymore.

“I have been a regular for 4 years. I have honestly paid my bill on time. My credit score is at 749. I asked them to lower my fees tha are really high (24.6%). They told me they couldn’t lower it so I cancelled the card.
